Multiphase pumping is becoming more and more popular as oilfields around the world develop an increasing demand for newer technologies in fluid transfer. Multiphase pumping is the most economical way to move emulsion from a cluster(s) of wells to a central processing point. With its ability to pump oil, gas, and water together in a common line, multiphase pumps reduce operating and construction costs due to a reduced footprint and a reduced number of equipment needs. Thus eliminating the need for numerous smaller production facilities, and trucking if applicable. Separating and processing is then done through a single processing plant.
